For me, this was a big project: converting the garage into a two‑storey side extension, adding a 6m rear extension, garden patio, front driveway, and full house renovation. So the quotation was extremely important.• I asked three builders for quotes: two British builders and one Hong Kong builder, RJK. In the end, I chose RJK because they broke down every item clearly, listing the prices in detail. If we chose more expensive or cheaper materials, the quotation could be adjusted accordingly, which felt fair. In contrast, the other two British builders gave rougher quotes, often just lump sums, which could easily lead to disputes about whether certain work was included. RJK’s approach reduced unexpected variations.• Roy is the interior designer. He gave us many design ideas and professional advice. Whether it was layout, materials, or colors, he guided us to make suitable choices, and the final result turned out even better than we imagined.• The workers’ craftsmanship was excellent, especially in building wardrobes, walk‑in closets, bookshelves, TV cabinets, and more than ten other pieces. The dimensions were precise, and both the aesthetics and practicality left me very satisfied.• The flooring and wall tiling were also done beautifully and deserve praise.• We’ve already moved in for six months, but RJK promised one year of maintenance. During this period, whenever defects appeared, they came to fix them, which gave us peace of mind.• Regarding the construction timeline, before work started I asked if they could finish earlier. Roy explained that the project was large and, even at the risk of losing the job, refused my request. He doesn’t just say yes to everything to secure a contract, which impressed me. In the end, the project was completed on schedule according to the contract, which was acceptable.• Although communication in English was fine, now we can also communicate in Cantonese, which reduces misunderstandings. That’s an extra bonus.• Roy and most of RJK’s staff are Hong Kong people, so they bring Hong Kong‑style efficiency, especially in answering questions and handling matters. This made me very happy. Compared to typical British service standards, their effectiveness is outstanding. Hong Kong people value efficiency highly, and RJK excels in this aspect.• Overall, we are very satisfied with the entire project. After half a year of living here, we feel comfortable and happy. Roy's team was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful. We had unfortunately hired a cowboy builder to carry out a garage conversion in Bromley. The project did not pass building control, and essentially the project had to be restarted. Roy's team helped us identify the remediation works required, dealing with building control, redoing the conversion and making adjustments to the design during the project. For example, he very responsibly identified that the previous builder had incorrectly connected the soil pipe and remedied the situation. His team worked very hard and kept us well informed of the progress of the project. He also sent us a weekly progress report with photos and accompanying description as to the work progress. Where there are variations to the design (e.g. tiles / material etc), Roy provided a very clear itemised quote and the pricing is very transparent with no hidden costs. The project completed ahead of schedule and my 84 year-old mother was able to move in to a ground floor bedroom.
Roy and his team did a great job on our garage conversion. I’ve worked with a lot of builders and tradespeople, and Roy’s communication was the best by far. He made the whole process so easy. He gave us a detailed, itemised quote and clear plans upfront. Roy did a fantastic job designing a brand new bathroom in our Victorian terrace house, where there hadn’t been one before, and his team carried out the build. It was more involved than a typical renovation, requiring a new soil pipe and careful planning to make the most of a slightly awkward space, but Roy guided us through it with patience and great attention to detail.He helped us make thoughtful decisions on layout, unit sizes, and orientation to ensure the new bathroom felt right for the scale of the house. He also supported us throughout the process, including liaising with building control.We’re really happy with the end result - a modern, well-designed bathroom that works beautifully in the space.
I am super grateful having found Roy from RJK for my new house in Kingston, London. It is for our emigration to the UK so I can only manage the renovation project remotely. The builder is reponsible and quality is good. They’ll give you different materials for different costing and advice you for different design for cost saving or worthless.
We bought an old but big house and Roy and his team provided professional advice and work to renovate it. He is very responsive in questions and problems and they are reliable in such a big building project. We are offered with options and clear in costing of each item so we can decide what to choose from which is really helpful. We are happy with the new house.
Roy, Kelvin and their team have been very friendly and professional throughout the renovation. Roy, who has been my main point of contact, is very responsive and always tried to accommodate my requests. He is professional and is able to give me advice on what works and what doesn’t.I made various changes during the renovation but they were very accommodating and made things possible for me. Roy is also very transparent and clear about costs so I could make well-informed decisions.I have been back into the flat for about a month now and there were a few minor issues that needed touch up - they were very kind to come back and fix the problems.I am happy with the renovation and would recommend them should anyone wants a renovation.

Thanks to RJK London Design and Build for giving us peace of mind in designing my semi-detached house.During our first contact, Roy (the professional designer) had helped my wife and I to clarify how to use the house effectively among our 6 family members including 3 children and my mother. This part is very important because, by designer's advices, we understood that children need spaces to play and grandmother also needs convenience of bathroom and massage chair for leisure at ground floor. Therefore, a detailed ground floor planning to also include a reasonable size of dining area, kitchen unit, utility room (to include new positions for boiler, fridges, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc) is the most important. Roy's experience made us feel very comfort to let him take charge of the whole project.The second part that we feel very satisfortory is his detailed measurements of every corner of the house for fitting in furniture. Subsequently, Roy's careful considerations of all the electric sockets position for daily usage convenience made us very impressive.
